About Anthem

There are approximately 250 homes and condos for sale in Anthem. There are currently only 48 rental homes, a 2 year low, in the MLS system.

Anthem is a resort-style community situated in the beautiful desert foothills, near I-17 – approximately 10 miles north of the Loop 101 and approximately 30 miles north of downtown Phoenix.

Anthem’s central feature is its Community Center, a large facility available only to residents.  It contains a full-size outdoor swimming pool with a low dive and a high dive, a water park with slides, a three story rock climbing wall and a full gymnasium for basketball.  There is a fitness center, weightlifting area, aerobics classes and a wide variety of classes for all ages.  Outside, an adjacent 63-acre Community Park includes a huge play structure, ball fields, a fishing pond, small-gauge train, skate park, and an outdoor concert area.  There are miles of lighted walking paths as well as hiking and biking trails throughout the more than 5,800 acres Anthem encompasses.

In addition to the Community Center, the Anthem Country Club has two championship golf courses, each with its own club house, dining and fitness facilities.

Anthem’s convenient location makes it an ideal spot to raise a family or retire.  In the Phoenix area, it is minutes from the world class shopping & dining that Scottsdale is known for, an easy drive to a variety of malls and within 30 minutes of major sporting facilities.  If you are looking for a change of pace, the beautiful red rocks of Sedona are an easy 1 ½  drive to the north – as are the ski hills of Flagstaff.  The breathtaking Grand Canyon is an easy 4 ½ hour drive north and the towering, pine covered White Mountains are off to the Northeast.

Anthem was voted “Best Master Planned Community in America” by the National Association of Home Builders in 2001 and “Best Master Planned Community” by the Home Builders Association of Central Arizona in 2000 and 2001.
